Lau Hawaiian Collective

Enjoy and evening of live Hawaiian music and dancing with Lau Hawaiian Collective

Lau Hawaiian Collective is a group of performing artists dedicated to the perpetuation of Hawaiian music with reverence and imagination. Their concerts and performances illuminate the journey of Hawaii’s musical traditions through an ever-changing global landscape. They use a variety of traditional and contemporary vocal styles, musical instruments, and movements to highlight the connections between music, history, and present-day cultures. Lau Hawaiian Collective strives to continually embrace a spirit of welcoming, a love of learning, and a sparkling enthusiasm for sharing music and ideas.

Taiwan Dance Performance – National Taiwan University of Sport

Experience a special performance of the National Taiwan University of Sport.

This performance will immerse you in the rich and diverse Taiwanese culture, showcasing song, dance, music and drama. In both Chinese and English you’ll enjoy both contemporary and traditional features in a whole new style with beautiful and innovative choreography.

Chiang Mai Cultural Exchange Center

Join us on the World Stage to see dancers from the Chiang Mai Cultural Exchange Center, in Northern Thailand. This is the 10th year the dancers are sharing their culture in performances thoughout America and Europe.

The dancers will perform dances from four distinct regions of Thailand. Each region’s style of dance is different; expressed through unique dance movements, music and costumes. Although each region’s dance style is different, they are all unified through a common culture and tradition.

Culinary Travels

We have some exciting new programs being featured in the International Café area at the 2018 Festival of Nations.

Food Flight

Pack your taste buds for a world culinary adventure!  Attendees will be able to purchase a booklet of tickets and use them at any of the participating International Cafés for sample-sized portions of dishes they are offering.

New in 2018!  Participating International Cafés will be offering signature dishes focused on featuring items that authentic and adventurous!

Mini-Language Lessons

We are thrilled to be working with the teachers and students from the Wellstone International High School to present mini-language lessons each day of the Festival. Take just 30 minutes to learn phrases from a variety of languages from around the world, including Spanish, Oromo, Somali, and Arabic.


Green Card Voices returns to the Festival of Nations with their photo exhibit “Immigrants Telling Their Life Stories”, designed to advance their mission of sharing immigrant stories with as many people as possible. The exhibit includes portraits of immigrants, their 200-word bio, a quote and a QR code (viewers can scan them with iPhone/iPad and watch the first-person video stories). The latter is especially a novel way to engage with the audience and has been received with positive reviews.


Stop by and speak with representatives from this important government program.  Learn how you can help communities in need around the world!


Wee World Wanderers Club

The only luggage you might need for this world experience is a diaper bag! Bring your wee ones down to the Festival of Nations on Saturday morning from 10AM – 1:00PM.  Discover the world through international family-friendly programming including youth dance performances, storytelling, and puppet shows.   Strollers welcome!
